I think these intimate covid weddings are starting to be my fave. they help ground you and show you what's important. I love my big party weddings, but these intimate little weddings are just getting to me. and if shooting weddings in 2020 this year has taught me anything, it's that you need to roll with it.
Audrianna was far from being a ball of nerves from the outside. despite a wardrobe malfunction with a zipper, an emergency call to the seamstress, and staying in the little bathroom for almost an HOUR while her groom, father, guests, and bridal party were walking into and out of the cottage where she was, she was so pulled together. she only lost it when it came to the first look with her father. so, despite the ceremony being delayed almost an hour; Audrianna finally got to walk down the aisle to her very patient husband who did nothing but smile as she approached. through the very intimate ceremony, introductions of their families and friends requested by the same officiant who married her parents, and blessing and announcement of the rings, and even the double kiss - this garden wedding was a dream. Janet's floral did amazing with the floral aspects and hospitality. even while we might have blocked traffic a little, the passerby's honked, cheered, and shouted "congratulations!" to celebrate a complete stranger's wedding day.
