heeeeey! You found my "About me" section! I guess that means you're interested in knowing even a tiny bit about me, right? Maybe? Just so I'm not that weirdo who shows up with a camera...

I literally talk to everyone like I've known them for years even if I don't know their names. I ditch a lot of the formalities and just throw myself into conversations and getting to know you. I'm pretty goofy and quirky AF. I love to laugh and eat. I seriously love goofing around with bridal parties, they're the best! Sleep too. Don't mess with my sleep. I'm also passionate - as a person and a photographer. I've been a photographer for about 5 years and recently launched into being a traveling wedding photographer. I LOVE doing things differently. I don't like cheesy and generic poses and smiles. Romance, drama (the good kind), and connections are my faves when it comes to shooting.

Besides the 110% I throw into my business, I'm also a wife (closing in on that 10 year milestone and he's still not tired of me...yet!) and a mom to a three year old boy without an instruction manual. Seriously, a manual would have been nice but I'm some how keeping this little human alive soooo I can't be that bad at this mom-thing.

give me mountains, fields, hills, and a sunset and we'll make magic happen..

okay, let's play some 20 questions. I'll seriously answer just about anything.

is sales tax included in your prices?

only in the wedding packages. session and hourly coverage rates will have sales tax applied on the invoice.

where are you located?

I live in California but operate in both Texas and California. I book year round in both states!

do you travel?

we do! I love traveling and having a good time, so why not incorporate it into my passion? while open to traveling all over the place (please take me to Hawaii), most of my bookings are in Texas and California. Of course we're always down to go somewhere beautiful with our amazing clients. we no longer charge a distance based travel fee for weddings, but instead ask that our airfare, hotel, and rental car is covered in order to ensure we're there on time for your epic day for out of state events. Travel in California and Texas will incur a .54/mile beyond the first 50 miles of Houston & Beaumont TX, and Merced CA. and a hotel room may be requested and discussed on a case by case situation for sessions. Travel expenses are always discussed openly, so if you have any questions just let me know!

wait, so you live in California?

yep! so, I'm sure when you're some what confused when you see me pop up as a Texas wedding photographer. here's the skinny, I do still shoot in Texas. I have amazing friends in Texas whom I still love to see and I have an amazing associate shooter who handles weddings and sessions.

what's an "associate shooter"?

an associate shooter is a team member of Kelly Eileen who has been trained by me. they have 100% of my trust when it comes to artistic eye and knowledge of expectation and equipment. I'll go over things pretty extensively with my team members when it concerns your sessions and weddings. these are people whom I trust with my clients, so everything will be amazing.

how would you describe your overall style?

I'd definitely say I'm more documentary style for most of the wedding day with some posing and prompts when it comes to portraits, especially of the bridal party. For portrait sessions I prefer posing and prompts with a little candid mixed in. Prompts help bring out those genuine and authentic connections, laughter, and smiles. My editing style, I would say is some film inspiration, with embrace for shadows+natural lighting, and warm+colorful.

how do you handle clients with insecurities?

so, here's the thing. we all have insecurities. I definitely try to learn and be proactive about avoiding client insecurities. we'll talk about that when we start getting to know each other.

will you make me skinnier?

no, and trust me I wish real life were as easy as photoshop. as someone who has struggled with her weight for decades, I understand the struggle, frustration, self-esteem issues, confidence, etc.; but I will not photoshop weight off for a myriad of reasons. when I know that weight is an issue, I take every step I can to prevent it from becoming an issue while you're reviewing your images. posing, angles, shadows - they're all our friends; but ultimately I will not make you skinnier. you are beautiful, amazing, and one of a kind.

okay, so what do you edit then?

while I won't make you skinnier, I will smooth out little bumps, acne, scars, distracting flyaway hairs, dirt and stains, and distracting items beyond what I would typically edit out.

what do you mean by all images? will I get the unedited and raw images?

nah. when I saw you get all of the images, it means that you'll get all of the amazing images. edited. maybe I'll throw in a blooper image, but if you don't look 100% amazing then it's just not good enough. I never provide unedited or raw images. I say "all" because sometimes it's hard to hammer out a set number when you're absolutely rockin' your session. each gallery will vary.

when do you offer professional hair and make up? how much is it?

you can add on professional hair and make up to any of your portrait sessions. I like to offer it to my clients because not only is it nice to be pampered, but I want you to be take care of. getting pictures taken should be an experience and you should look absolutely stunning in your pictures. hair and make up together costs about $100 through me and I use a couple professional and licensed artists who will be tagged in your images on social media so that they can share their work (and your lovely images) with potential clients. of course you can always get hair or make up done, it's entirely up to you.

how long does it take to get my gallery?

sessions typically take up to two weeks, weddings up to 8 weeks. I aim to deliver early, but plan for worst case scenario. I'm just cool like that. seriously though, most are delivered early. I've never delivered a gallery late. sessions that require more editing time may impact delivery time, but those will still fall between the average 1-2 weeks.

I want to order something from you, what do you offer?

I offer a variety of products to choose from. prints, metallic prints, framed prints, folio boxes, albums, canvas wraps, and of course albums for starters. I can also do save the dates, announcements, magnets, etc. just let me know what you're after and I'll find it! most of these will be able to be purchased through either the website or through your gallery directly. easy peasy! albums and folio orders will receive a special email on how to select your options. albums and photo books will receive proofing images through their galleries.

is there a deadline to order?

yep. it's ideal to order while your gallery is active. session galleries are active for a month starting the day you get the email with your gallery link. wedding galleries are active for 3 months. it's seriously so easy to order through your gallery, but you can always submit an order through my website too.

what's the best way to get a hold of you?

text or email is probably the fastest way. anything where we won't have a two year old screeching pterodactyl in the background is good with me. there's forms throughout my site for you to reach out, and typically you'll hear back from me about 12 hours later. sooner if it's a text message.
